Michel Sapin has been Minister of Finance and Public Accounts since 2014, a position he held in the François Mitterrand government from 1992 to 1993. He was previously Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue between 2012 and 2014. His experience also led to his appointment as Minister of Civil Service and State Reform in the Jacques Chirac government between 2000 and 2002.
