Biography of Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux
Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, the current president of the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), France’s leading employers’ association, began his career at theL’Oréal Group. He served as marketing director for the United Kingdom and helped establish the company’s Polish subsidiary. As a co-founder of the mobile phone accessories specialist“The Phone House”in 1996, he served as its CEO until 2004. His journey in the mobile phone industry continued with the creation of the mobile virtual network operatorOmea Telecom, which owned brands such asVirgin Mobile FranceandTele2 Mobile. In 2007, Mr. Roux de Bézieux joined the supervisory board of thePSAGroup, where he later became vice chairman.
His commitment to serving businesses was evident during his tenure as president of theCroissancePlusentrepreneurs’ association from 2005 to 2008, and later aspresident of Unédicuntil 2010. In 2018, he was elected president ofMEDEF.
