ACCOR: Advantages of the Cabinet ARC

“The firm’s strengths in this context are its expertise. You can tell that the firm’s attorneys are extremely knowledgeable in their field, have a thorough understanding of the proceedings, and know exactly how a debtor will react to the various procedural tactics. This is what sets them apart—it gives them an advantage over other firms, whose approaches tend to focus more on following standard processes. They, on the other hand, focus more on analyzing cases and determining the most appropriate technical decision—a truly tailored approach, as opposed to what I’d call a one-size-fits-all approach.”

I would therefore recommend them specifically for the most technical cases—the hardest debts to collect. This applies not only to domestic debts within France but also to international debts, particularly in export-related cases, where they again assist us in countries where debt collection is truly difficult. Once again, I would recommend them for international debt collection because, once more, their approach is tailored to the local context and specific circumstances.”

The expertise of the Cabinet ARC

“So we chose to partner with Cabinet ARC based on word of mouth and reputation. And as a result, we had a client who defaulted on payments at several of our locations. We had referred one of these receivables to our long-standing partner firm, and ultimately, we were able to refer the exact same receivable—an identical one from another location—to Cabinet ARC at the same time. In practical terms, the result came from taking a completely different approach to handling these cases.”

We achieved much better results in terms of collection times through the Cabinet ARC, which used a technique that the other firm did not typically employ—namely, a provisional attachment. This allowed us to free up the funds very quickly and prioritize payment to the hotel, which had assigned its claim to Cabinet ARC. In contrast, the firm that didn’t use this method—and therefore relied on more traditional approaches—also achieved a successful recovery, but it took much longer than it would have with the leverage provided by the provisional attachment. The difference between the two was several months.”

The barometer of the Cabinet ARC

“The IFOP ARC survey is, I would say, quite interesting. In that sense, first of all, because it is conducted repeatedly, it provides a long-term perspective on how economic actors’ perceptions of the economic climate and cash flow issues have evolved over time. And this also gives us a broad enough perspective on the environment and on how the mindset of economic actors is evolving—especially in light of the crisis we’re currently facing—allowing us to gain insight into where we’re headed, where economic actors believe the economy is headed, and thus to guide our actions. I’d say the key word here is really “anticipation,” and it’s very difficult to anticipate without knowledge or visibility; these tools help provide some visibility regarding the current economic situation.”
