Biography of François Asselin

François Asselin is the CEO of Asselin, a company specializing in carpentry, joinery, metalwork, and traditional cabinetmaking. He is also a member of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council and serves on the board of directors of the public investment bank BPI France. In 2015, he was elected president of the CPME (Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises), which represents approximately 1,500,000 SMEs. Mr. Asselin has been a guest at the breakfast debates on two occasions.

Biography of Michel Sapin

Michel Sapin served as Minister of Finance and Public Accounts from 2014 to 2017, a position he had previously held during François Mitterrand’s presidency from 1992 to 1993. Prior to that , he served as Minister of Labor, Employment, Vocational Training, and Social Dialogue from 2012 to 2014. His experience also led to his appointment as Minister of the Civil Service and State Reform under Jacques Chirac from 2000 to 2002.
